The 5-floor apartment building at Raua 20 has apartments ranging from two to five rooms in each. The storage units are located on the first floor of the building. In the first and second floor as well as fourth and fifth floor there are special two-storey apartments. Terraces of the first-floor flats open onto the patio, and terraces on the top floor are spacious and provide a good view.
The heating solution features water underfloor heating connected to the district heating system. Each flat is equipped with a heat recovery ventilation system. Hot water is supplied by a heating system manifold through a heat exchanger; remote reading hot and cold water meters are installed in each apartment. Dual tariff remote reading electricity meters are located in the main distribution room. In each flat, a local smoke detector and cabling to be connected to a security company’s alarm system and a communication services provider will be installed.
The yard of the building facing the street comprises parking spaces and a designated area for waste disposal. The patio features a lawn and a playground for children. There is a path from the entrance door of the building to the playground. There are bicycle parking lots on one side of the building and in the patio.
The building is erected on the pile foundation. The walls between the apartments are made of concrete blocks. Interior walls within the apartments are made of gypsum board on metal frames with mineral wool filling. Floor slabs are made of hollow core slabs, to which a layer of mineral wool insulation for step noise prevention is added on top before the levelling concrete slab is poured over. The roof is covered with SBS bitumen roofing material. The windows are fitted with triple glazing units in plastic frames. The exterior door of the building features a glazing unit in metal frame, and the exterior doors of the apartments are wooden and covered with veneer.
Interior decoration solutions in the flats have been created by an interior designer. The floor of the entrance hall as well as the walls and floors of the sanitary rooms are tiles. The walls and ceilings of the apartments are painted. As far as the entrance halls, corridors, sanitary rooms and utility systems are concerned, the apartments feature dropped ceilings. The interior doors in the apartments are veneered interior doors.
The building at Raua 20 has an elevator.
